We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Santa Cruz, California. In this role, you will manage and oversee all aspects of accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial standards. Job Responsibility:
Handle full-cycle bookkeeping processes, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll
Perform bank reconciliations to ensure financial records are accurate and up-to-date
Prepare and post journal entries to maintain the general ledger
Manage month-end close procedures and generate financial reports
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies in all financial operations
Maintain and update accounting systems, including QuickBooks, to support efficient workflows
Analyze financial data to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly
Collaborate with other departments to provide accurate financial information and support decision-making
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes
Implement best practices to improve efficiency and accuracy in bookkeeping operations
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper or similar role
Proficiency in QuickBooks and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes
Expertise in bank reconciliations and journal entries
Familiarity with month-end close procedures and financial reporting
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
High attention to detail and organizational abilities
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively
