We are looking for a highly skilled Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team in Danville, California. In this role, you will manage a diverse range of accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy and compliance across financial operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in bookkeeping, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to handle complex accounting processes with efficiency.
Job Responsibility:
Perform bank reconciliations across multiple accounts to ensure accuracy and consistency
Prepare and file multi-state sales tax returns in compliance with state regulations
Reconcile general ledger accounts, including intercompany accounts, to maintain accurate records
Complete and file licensing and local tax returns in a timely manner
Handle payroll reconciliations and manage garnishments with precision
Record accounts payable transactions and create journal entries, including intercompany operations
Assist with various accounting functions, such as managing unemployment claims and maintaining employee records
Address intercompany consolidations and ensure proper accounting procedures
Utilize advanced Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting tasks
Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless financial operations
Requirements:
Minimum of 5 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with advanced skills in data manipulation and reporting
Familiarity with accounting systems, preferably Sage100ERP
Strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively convey financial information
Keen attention to detail to maintain accuracy in all accounting tasks
Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple responsibilities efficiently
Experience with intercompany consolidations is highly desirable
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field is preferred
