Requirements

Ability to walk, stand, pull, climb, bend, reach, and stoop for an extended period of time
Occasional medium lifting requirements (0-20 lbs.) and an occasional heavy lifting requirement (up to 75 lbs.)
Ability to exercise sound judgement and work independently with minimal supervision
Ability to read, write, and count accurately
Good written and verbal communication skills
Attention to detail for order accuracy
Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and professionally
Basic computer skills

Job Responsibility

Collects and reads store orders that include item location, descriptions, and quantity
Electronic System to locate and select items / Ensure accuracy in picking items
Gathers the required cases of merchandise and transfers cases to pallets or conveyers using safe lifting techniques
Arrange selected item on pallet securely and efficiently
Demonstrates ability to operate power equipment and perform preliminary safety checks of equipment
Ensures pallet security with tape and shrink wrap
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by following safety guidelines
Performs general housekeep to ensure working area and aisles are clear of debris
Participates in training for other warehouse duties
Carries out area strategy to maintain performance metric standards
