Job Responsibility:
Work closely with the Goods Flow team to manage short-term store capacity, balancing inbound and outbound volumes by optimizing space, equipment, and workforce
Lead and motivate goods flow co-workers to secure high goods availability and customer order fulfilment at the lowest possible cost
Recruit, retain, and develop a diverse and competent Fulfilment Operations Team, ensuring succession planning
Promote IKEA’s commitment to sustainability by taking actions that reduce environmental impact while supporting long-term profitability
Live IKEA values, fostering a strong culture that inspires exceptional team performance
Ensure compliance with the IKEA Code of Conduct, internal regulations, and local health, safety, security, and environmental laws
Provide input to and implement the logistics action plan in inbound and/or outbound processes
Share knowledge of efficient operations and health & safety principles to develop colleagues and business partners
Ensure high-quality, accurate daily operations to secure excellent product availability and stock accuracy for customers
Support the IKEA Value Chain goals by executing processes in line with global and local agreements with Transport Service Providers
Requirements:
Has a strong interest in home furnishing, life at home, and the IKEA product range
Passionate about developing people, talent, and team performance
Thrives in logistics and enjoys working in a fast-paced, constantly changing retail environment
Understands budget, cost, and KPIs, and can use them to plan, monitor, and steer the business effectively
Possesses strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to create efficient and cost-effective operations
Familiar with IKEA manuals (In-store Logistics the IKEA Way), the IKEA Code of Conduct, and health, safety, and security regulations
Holds valid forklift operator certification, with knowledge of safe and efficient driving methods
Demonstrates strong leadership — delivering results while learning and improving, building trust, and communicating clearly in diverse situations
Can complete tasks within deadlines despite limited resources, while motivating and engaging team members in dynamic and challenging environments
Communicates business updates positively, persuades effectively, and drives continuous improvement
