Job Description:

Frontend Software Engineer position at IKEA focusing on web application development, software engineering principles, and data-driven decisions. The role involves working in cloud environments and contributing to the omnichannel home furnishing retail experience.

Requirements:

Minimum 5+ years work experience
Strong background in web application frontend development
Experience in software engineering principles
Experience working in cloud environment (GCP preferred)
Frontend development experience in large corporation agile environment
Analytical skills and experience understanding complex contexts
Proven experience in Frontend development with clean, efficient, well-documented code using React, Node.js, Python or equivalent
Experience interacting with databases such as BigQuery, Cloud SQL and Cloud Firestore
Experience working in micro service architectures
Experience building CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub actions
Experience working with cloud platforms (GCP preferred)
Knowledge of event-based processing frameworks like EventBridge, PubSub and Streaming dataflows
Collaborate with other engineers and stakeholders
Participate in code reviews
Stay up-to-date with latest technologies and trends

Nice to have:

Develop and maintain SQL queries and utilize DBT for data transformation
Work with data orchestration services like Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Workflows and Cloud Composer
