Front End Software Engineer

• Design, build, test, deploy, and monitor web features for a new way to shop for home
• Design a seamless customer journey integration for IKEA Kreativ on IKEA.com
• Work collaboratively to prototype, iterate and deliver delightful user experiences: partner with product design, participate in usability sessions, and use your knowledge of frontend engineering to deliver best-in-class mixed reality shopping experiences
• Improve performance, usability, and reliability of the Kreativ web application to improve customer satisfaction and conversion by delivering a high quality product, quickly fixing customer-facing issues, and promoting test-driven and data-driven development
• Effectively partner & collaborate with our global tech staff including our California teams (9 hours behind Ingka HQ)

• 4+ years’ experience building production software on substantial products/codebases
• Proficient in modern Javascript/Typescript for frontend development
• Expertise in delivering polished UI with modern frameworks like React/Vue/etc
• Great teammate – who can reliably collaborate with Product, Design, and QA teams to design, scope, and deliver novel experiences that customers love
• Experience writing automated tests (unit/end-to-end)
• University foundations in Computer Science and software engineering preferred
• Demonstrated appreciation of visual style & aesthetics (possibly with portfolio)
