We are looking for a dedicated Front Desk Coordinator to join our team on a contract basis in Saint Louis Park, Minnesota. This role is essential in providing outstanding customer service and administrative support to both visitors and staff. You will play a key part in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations at the front desk and assisting with various city services.
Job Responsibility:
Welcome and direct visitors to the appropriate departments, ensuring a friendly and detail-oriented experience
Process credit card transactions for city services, including utility billing and recreational program payments
Assist customers with inquiries related to city services, providing clear and helpful information
Maintain and support the self-service center for public use, ensuring all equipment is functional and accessible
Manage incoming and outgoing mail, including sorting, stuffing envelopes, and preparing items for distribution
Handle duplication and scanning tasks for both in-house and contracted needs
Answer and manage multi-line phone systems, directing calls to the appropriate staff or departments
Support internal teams by addressing service requests and coordinating administrative tasks
Provide excellent service to challenging customers while maintaining a detail-oriented approach and composure
Requirements:
Previous front desk or receptionist experience in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries with patience and clarity
Proficiency in using computer software like Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and online transaction systems
Ability to manage multi-line phone systems efficiently
Experience handling financial transactions, including credit card processing
Familiarity with mail sorting and other administrative tasks
Comfortable working onsite and interacting with a diverse range of people
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
