Job Description:

Our Callemondah depot is seeking Level 2 Freight Operators to join our team on a casual ongoing basis. As a Level 2 Freight Operator, there are two key areas you will work within the Gladstone Operations team. You will participate in the efficient completion of the maintenance support task of provisioning locomotives. You will also support two of our key customers by supervising the unloading of coal trains at customer sites. This role is casual, and you will need a willingness to work Day and Night shifts (up to 12hr shifts) including weekend work.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provisioning of Locomotives – to include fuelling, refilling of oil, sand and water
  • Cleaning of Provisioning Shed
  • Stocktake/Restocking the Provisioning shed & vehicles
  • Operating Aurizon vehicles
  • Supervision of the Unloading of coal wagons at customer sites

Requirements:

  • Uncompromising commitment to safety

  • Current driver licence with a safe driving record
  • Ability to work independently
  • Sound level of interpersonal skills in oral, written and interpersonal communication
  • High level customer service, communication and teamwork skills
  • Basic mechanical aptitude
