Job Description:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Forklist Telehandler to operate a forklift/telehandler safely and efficiently on a construction site, supporting the delivery of housing projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Oversee day-to-day site operations in the absence of the Site Manager or Head of Construction, ensuring the safe, efficient, and effective running of the site, including coordinating contractors and operating plant or machinery as required
  • Safely operate a telehandler/forklift to move, load, and unload materials around the site
  • Support trades and site teams by ensuring timely delivery of materials to work areas
  • Carry out daily equipment checks and report any defects or issues

Requirements:

  • CPCS or NPORS Telehandler/Forklift qualification (valid and in date)
  • Valid CSCS (Construction Skills Certification Scheme)
  • Previous experience operating a telehandler on a construction site
  • Experience working on residential housing developments
  • Good awareness of site health & safety requirements
  • Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively with the site team
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to assist with general site duties when not operating machinery
  • Subject to a Basic Disclosure and Barring Service check
