Job Description:

The Logistics Network Planning - Operations Forecasting team at Zalando ensures an optimal network setup by balancing commercial ambitions with operational capabilities—enabling fast, reliable and efficient service. As part of the Forecasting & Steering team, you will be responsible for delivering a 16-weeks volume plan for our logistics network, ensuring smooth logistics operations and optimal capacity utilisation across our network. You’ll work closely with Warehouse and Transport Operations teams to align capacities, optimise processes, and resolve operational challenges.

Job Responsibility:

  • Forecast Outbound, Returns & New Goods volumes for our Fulfillment center network as part of the company-wide weekly Sales & Operations Planning Process (S&OP)
  • Oversee our internal and external weekly reportings
  • Derive short term steering measures to keep the network in balance
  • Ensure the team’s continuous improvement effort, e.g. developing better forecasting models with positive impact on accuracy, optimise relevant processes and reportings
  • Plan and integrate new warehouses into our network from a volume and process point of view
  • Align new processes together with internal stakeholders (e.g. Transportation, ZEOS, Markets)

Requirements:

  • Studies in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or equivalent education through relevant experiences
  • 3+ years of professional experience in Logistics, S&OP, Network Planning and Forecasting, Mathematics or/and similar fields
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to work with people from different departments and levels
  • Problem-solving competence
  • Highly developed analytical, conceptual and entrepreneurial thinking skills
  • Organisational skills
