As a Food & Beverage Server at Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel, you will serve food and beverage items, manage guest experiences, and support team members in creating a welcoming environment for guests. You will adhere to service standards and company policies while performing physical tasks and fostering positive working relationships.
Job Responsibility:
Serve food courses and alcoholic beverages to guests
set tables according to type of event and service standards
answer questions on menu selections
communicate with the kitchen regarding menu questions, the length of wait, re-cook orders, and product availability
maintain cleanliness of work areas, china, glass, etc.
complete closing duties including restocking items and turning off lights
ensure guest satisfaction with food and beverages
process payment and present accurate check
address dietary needs and special requests
follow company policies and procedures
Requirements:
High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent
at least 1 year of related work experience
ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
knowledge of menu and food service standards
ability to use MICROS system
strong communication skills
ability to anticipate and address guests’ service needs
