Responsible for managing all aspects of the fleet operations, including maintenance, repair, scheduling, and procurement of equipment for our construction project. You will work closely with project managers, supervisors, and equipment operators to ensure the smooth operation of our fleet, contributing to the success of our construction projects.
Job Responsibility:
Oversee the requisition, transport, assembly, disassembly, mobilization, and demobilization of equipment
Coordinate site operations to monitor and control equipment movement, ensuring timely and efficient deployment
Prioritize and coordinate routine maintenance, checks, and repairs, while managing intervention requests to ensure equipment operability
Supervise testing after receipt and maintenance, aligning performance with internal KPIs
Lead and coordinate operational teams, including equipment technicians, operators, and drivers, ensuring seamless site operations
Provide training and support on safety, health, and environmental standards to promote compliance and high-performance
Manage the preparation, filing, and updating of technical documents, equipment records, and legal compliance documents
Oversee vehicle documentation, GPS reporting, and fuel control, and ensure alignment with Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies
Promote and enhance safety conditions while ensuring alignment with environmental goals
Coordinate compliance with company standards to minimize risks and maintain operational integrity
Manage equipment utilization, storage, and dispatch within the equipment park to drive cost-effectiveness and support project outcomes
Ensure alignment with strategic objectives, including the company’s investment plan related to fleet and equipment
Research and develop technical information for the Equipment Area, sharing best practices and technological advancements to keep the team updated and efficient
Train and coordinate fleet team and DEQ technicians across the NERAMP Project, ensuring alignment with project goals, safety standards, and company objectives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Automotive Engineering, logistics, or related field preferred
Minimum of 10 years of experience in fleet management, preferably in the heavy equipment or construction industry
Strong technical knowledge of workshop equipment, including cranes, forklifts, compressors, and welding machines
Proficiency in maintenance scheduling software and fleet management systems
Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to motivate and supervise a team
Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in equipment maintenance and repair
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel occasionally for onsite inspections or supplier meetings
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and work schedules
