Job Description:

Diagnoses, repairs and disassembles transfer cases and other products to help diagnosis quality issues and reduce scrap.

Job Responsibility:

  • Observes products in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble/abnormalities
  • Dismantles products to identify and remove any defective parts
  • Process defective part through nonconforming material procedure
  • Inspect good components to verify they are conforming and able to be returned to the assembly line
  • Repairs or replaces any defective parts
  • Lubricates and cleans parts
  • Evaluate rejects and determine root cause
  • Enter evaluation data into spreadsheet to create a report including FTQT Log and FPY spreadsheet
  • Introduces rework material to the line in accordance with the DDRM, (Defect Diagnosis and Repair Manual)
  • Actively works to minimize rework/reject material inventory

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • 6 months of quality related experience preferred
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent
  • Ability to draw and interpret bar graphs
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Knowledge of SAP Inventory software
  • Intermediate level MS Excel and MS Word
  • Stand for long periods of time
  • Lifting shoulder high up to 35 lbs repetitively
  • Stepping up and down off lift
  • Walking long distances over extended periods
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
  • Ability to perform repetitive motion activities
