Job Description:

The incumbent ensures catering standardization and that all food preparations meets or exceeds established requirements. The First Cook works with a degree of independence to create daily menu items as well as brain storming new ideas!

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide menu development input
  • Contribute to a cultivated team environment and provide support, motivation and encouragement to peers
  • Maintain a level of food preparation consistent with business levels & leadership direction
  • Adhere to standard recipes and specifications in order to maintain consistency and ensure all standards are met
  • Ensure all activities are following all safety regulations laid out by regulatory bodies

Requirements:

  • Combination of culinary apprenticeship and experience exceeding 5 years
  • Valid Drivers License
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety regulations
  • A strong sense of accountability, honesty, and responsibility in all tasks, supporting the trust that we have built with passengers, partners, and communities
  • Enthusiasm for contributing to our unique mission, whether that’s through direct customer service, operational excellence, or behind-the-scenes support
  • Must be a legally entitled to work in Canada

  • Valid Food Safe, WHMIS and First Aid
  • Ability to comfortably operate a 5-ton truck
