We’re on a mission to become the leading technology partner for the global energy sector. By combining deep technology expertise with domain knowledge, we’re driving digital transformation and enabling the green transition - and we’re just getting started. As part of our growth strategy, we’re looking for a dedicated firewall engineer to strengthen our global Operations team. If you’re passionate about network security, thrive on solving complex challenges, and want to help customers succeed by implementing robust, future-ready firewall solutions, this is the role for you. Collaboration is key: you’ll work closely with vendors, customers, and internal teams, while also mentoring junior colleagues.

Job Responsibility:

  • Design, configure, and implement firewall solutions using Check Point and Palo Alto technologies
  • Manage and maintain security components, including VPNs (IP-VPN, SSL-VPN, IPSEC-VPN) and intrusion detection/prevention systems
  • Troubleshoot and optimize firewall performance across LAN, WAN, and hybrid environments
  • Provide 3rd line support for complex security incidents
  • Ensure compliance with security protocols and best practices
  • Contribute to wider network tasks and tickets when required

Requirements:

  • Extensive experience with Check Point firewalls (configuration, administration, troubleshooting)
  • Hands-on experience with Palo Alto Networks firewalls
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies and secure network design
  • Familiarity with identity solutions (e.g., Cisco ISE) and wireless security standards
  • Advanced certifications such as Check Point CCSA/CCSE, or Palo Alto PCNSE are highly desirable
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Zabbix, NetFlow) beneficial

Nice to have:

  • Background in solution design and architecture
  • Experience automating firewall tasks for efficiency
  • Exposure to rigs/vessels and the oil & gas/energy sector
What we offer:
  • Career development - Advance your career with trainee programs, mentorship, growth dialogue
  • Impact - Ideal company size - global impact, yet stand out and make a difference
  • Professional growth – Benefit from a training budget and dedicated time for learning and growth, while enjoying access to digital courses and our very own certification center
  • Balance - Enjoy a supportive and flexible work environment that enables you thrive both professionally and personally
  • Diversity - support diversity in the tech industry through our Diversity at Cegal initiative, Women at Cegal network or our platinum partnership with the Oda Network
