Job Description:

A leading multidisciplinary consultancy seeks a Fire Engineer to join their London team to deliver high-quality fire safety solutions across a wide range of projects in both public and private sectors.

Job Responsibility:

  • Producing clear and concise fire safety reports for new builds, refurbishments and complex developments
  • Engaging directly with clients, design teams and external stakeholders
  • Applying strong knowledge of UK fire safety legislation and guidance
  • Identifying and delivering practical, risk-informed fire safety strategies
  • Supporting senior staff with project management and mentoring junior colleagues

Requirements:

  • Degree in Fire Engineering or closely related discipline
  • Proven experience in fire consultancy or similar environment (12-18 months minimum)
  • Up-to-date understanding of UK fire regulations and standards
  • Excellent written communication skills for technical reports
  • Strong interpersonal skills and confidence in client-facing scenarios
  • Pragmatic, solution-focused mindset for complex fire safety challenges

Nice to have:

  • Chartership (CEng)
  • Professional memberships (MIFireE, FIFireE, MIFSM, FIFSM)
  • CFD Modelling experience
  • Knowledge of Building Safety Act
