Job Responsibility:
Administrative duties include planning, directing, and controlling departmental activities, including recruitment of personnel, purchase of equipment, control of expenditures, and the preparation of fiscal budgets
The successful candidate must be able to formulate, implement, and enforce department policies, procedures, rules, regulations, and programs in order to secure maximum efficiency of personnel and equipment as well as be able to communicate effectively, orally, in writing, and electronically
Requirements:
A bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college or university is required, supplemented by coursework in Fire Science or Fire Administration
At least five years of supervisory firefighting experience at a level that has allowed becoming familiar with all phases of fire department operations
