Lead and enhance multinational financial reporting. The successful candidate will be a key player in the Financial Reporting and Control team as well as the wider finance function of a thriving FTSE-250 Company. Driving the accuracy and timeliness of corporate reporting, internally and externally, with a key focus on Softcat's international business. The team is growing quickly to adapt to continued business growth and added complexity. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone wanting to get involved across all areas of the business and implement changes, which ultimately improve reporting quality. In this role there will be exposure to most areas of finance and work closely with various business operation functions and the Multinational team.

Job Responsibility:

  • Owning the delivery and evolution of accounting and reporting for areas such as revenue recognition, consolidation, FX, intercompany
  • Ensuring international entity accounting, reporting and cash management requirements are met
  • Working with the wider business to ensure processes and controls are correct and being applied appropriately
  • Supporting the multinational team and commercial finance on accounting and reporting matters
  • Identifying & delivering continuous improvement in new and existing accounting and reporting related processes, including defining scope, goals and deliverables

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years post qualification experience in practice or industry
  • Strong technical accounting and analytical skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex topics
  • Confidence working with large datasets and advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and motivate others
  • Experience in the production of and delivery of improvements in management reporting
