Job Description:

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is starting their career in finance or accounting. As a Finance Trainee / Data Entry Clerk, you will support the finance team with essential administrative and data-related tasks while gaining valuable industry experience and exposure to a range of finance functions by a Finance Manager.

Job Responsibility:

  • Entering and updating financial data in company systems with a high degree of accuracy
  • Assisting in processing invoices, receipts, and other financial documents
  • Supporting month-end and year-end financial processes
  • Reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies
  • Filing and organising financial records
  • Communicating with internal departments and external vendors where necessary
  • Assisting the finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects

Requirements:

  • A strong interest in finance, accounting, or business administration
  • Basic understanding of financial principles is a plus
  • Excellent attention to detail and high level of accuracy
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  • Good organisational and time management skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Nice to have:

  • Studying towards (or recently completed) a degree/diploma in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • Previous experience in data entry or a finance-related role is advantageous but not essential
