Job Description:

Finance Reporting Group Manager - Director position at Citi, responsible for the firm's financial management and related controls. The role involves managing Citi's global risk and controls oversight activities, partnering with CSDO/Enterprise Controllers to establish and maintain a robust risk and controls framework, and transforming the team to a high performing control centric organization.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide oversight on controls and manage control initiatives to improve the health of internal controls
  • Partner with CSDO / Enterprise Finance Controllers to ensure procedures and controls are adequate and effectively implemented
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand the end-to-end process, identify risks and recommend risk management strategies
  • Review, assess, and provide independent assessment on control design and execution
  • Analyze root cause of control breaks and gaps
  • provide expert guidance on remediation actions
  • Work as trusted advisor to Finance Controllers on formulating actions to mitigate risks
  • Lead monthly risk and control forum with senior stakeholders
  • Monitor and track the progress of initiatives
  • Lead, develop and manage the talent
  • Build team capabilities by recruiting and training appropriate staff

Requirements:

  • Qualified Accountant – CPA, CA, MBA Finance
  • 15+ years relevant working experience in Risk and Control, Internal Controls, Audit, Compliance, Risk Management, Finance, and/or Accounting
  • In depth knowledge of Finance architecture, systems and processes, as well as the Controller and Business functions
  • Experience in control design and implementation and development and execution of standard operating procedures
  • Experience in gap assessment and deficiency remediation
  • Expertise in summarizing information into concrete processes, flows and/or action plans
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, across organizational levels, functions, and regions
  • Highly analytical, proactive, with strong attention to detail and follow up skills
  • Flexible, team-oriented, with good interpersonal skills
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office products
