In this vital role you will report to the SIA AIN Finance Lead supporting the overall Tech & Workforce Strategy program. We are at the hinge moment of time where biotechnology and artificial intelligence technology meet. The Technology & Workforce Strategy (TWFS) program serves as a transformative program for Amgen to advance technology and workforce strategy efforts and support establishing an innovation center in India. The scope of work includes assisting the global functions through their workforce strategy journey and supporting other tech, workforce and Amgen enterprise-wide related initiatives. The Finance Manager will be responsible for complex modeling and financial analyses, financial consolidation, financial reporting, and communication, helping to shape Amgen of the Future, so that we are best situated to continue serving our patients.
Job Responsibility:
Own and maintain various financial models and consolidations, prepare financial reports and communications, run analyses and financial validations
Serve as the bridge between business partners and finance, ensuring that headcount, workforce (internal/external), and spend data are aligned and consistently integrated throughout the transformation journey—from initial baseline to realized savings
Provide financial support & review of Business cases that are in value journey path for analytics processes & deliverables
Supply validated baseline, savings, and transition data to FP&A and finance teams. Ensure inputs are accurate and timely for incorporation into forecasts, budgets, and long-range plans, enabling finance to extract value, track progress and update projections
Review of FTE/FLC average rates across functions and provide validated data to Finance, Data & Reporting and Tech teams
Estimation & financial modeling support across TWFS program
Partnering with Data & Reporting and Tech workstreams
Requirements:
M.Com /B.Com with a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in Financial Planning & Analysis department
Knowledge of fiscal management and accounting principles
Proficiency in financial budgeting, forecasting, strategic planning, analysis, modeling and reporting
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel
Experience with ERP systems (Hyperion, SAP and Anaplan) and financial software
Intellectual curiosity, with ability to learn new concepts, and methods and attention to detail
Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in parallel
History of delivering high quality work in an organized, and prompt fashion
Experience working in highly collaborative cross-functional environments
