The Finance Coordinator II plays a key role in supporting day-to-day accounting operations and maintaining accurate financial records. This position partners closely with the Finance Manager to execute operational accounting tasks, support accounts payable and receivable processes, and contribute to routine financial reporting. The role requires a working knowledge of debits and credits, prior exposure to AR activities, and the ability to operate independently in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
Job Responsibility:
Compile, verify, and post financial transactions including invoices, payments, refunds, and adjustments
Apply working knowledge of debits and credits to ensure accurate coding and posting
Reconcile general ledger accounts
investigate, resolve, and document discrepancies
Prepare and review vouchers, invoices, account statements, and supporting schedules
Audit invoices, resolve discrepancies, and process payments in accordance with internal controls
Support accounts receivable activities including invoicing, cash application, and customer follow-up
Monitor AP and AR activity to ensure timely and accurate processing
Investigate and resolve vendor and client billing or payment issues
Assist with weekly and monthly operating reports covering revenue, expenses, and inventory
Support the Finance Manager with reconciliations, basic trend analysis, and ad hoc reporting
Perform routine accounting and administrative tasks, including data entry and record maintenance
Respond to internal and external inquiries related to financial transactions and account status
Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability within financial operations
Ensure adherence to company policies, internal controls, and documentation standards
Maintain audit-ready records and support compliance efforts
Requirements:
Minimum of 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance, or operational accounting roles
Prior experience supporting accounts receivable activities is a strong plus
Experience in a high-volume or fast-paced environment preferred
Working knowledge of core accounting principles, including debits and credits
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
experience with accounting or ERP systems preferred
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Clear verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs
