Job Description:

Shape the future, starting with yours - Join AQA as a Finance Apprentice and become part of a dynamic team that supports the organisation’s strategic goals. Over this two-year programme, you’ll rotate across key areas of our Finance team, Accounts Payable, Billing and Collections, Payroll, and Financial Control, gaining hands-on experience and building a strong foundation for your future. We will also support you to undertake a Level 3 Assistant Accountant qualification through the apprenticeship levy.

Job Responsibility:

  • Process and issue customer invoices, match payments, monitor aged debt, and support month-end reporting
  • Process supplier invoices, reconcile statements, support month-end close, and maintain accurate transaction records
  • Observe and support payroll runs, shadow data processing, assist with payroll queries, and contribute to reporting and reconciliation
  • Assist with management accounts, reconciliations, journal entries, and audit preparation

Requirements:

  • A-levels or equivalent are preferred
  • At least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) including Maths and English
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical accuracy
  • Discretion in handling confidential information
  • Good time management and independence
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
