Finance Accounting Analyst

• investigate month-end close breaks and propose remediation to finance and product control teams
• drive the remediation of intercompany GL balance and contract-levels break which are critical to Citi's ability to meet regulatory reporting requirements
• works closely with controllers, operations and other process groups to remediate intercompany breaks during the month-end close and follows through on permanent resolution to prevent the recurrence of breaks
• recommend controls, changes in booking practices and process improvements for intercompany activities
• support the execution of transformation initiatives for intercompany matching processes
• support internal and external audit-related queries

• 2-5 years of relevant experience
• audit experience is a plus
• ability to work under pressure and manage deadlines or unexpected changes in expectations or requirements
• ability to analyze and investigate data flow from source to GL to reporting system
• ability to work with counterparts in different areas of organization
• proven organization and time management skills
• proven problem-solving and decision-making skills
• consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
• bachelor's degree/university degree or equivalent experience
