Job Description:

The Finance Accounting Analyst I is a trainee role requiring basic understanding of accounting systems and procedures. The role has limited but direct impact on Citi’s business, involves problem resolution, evaluative judgments, and application of technical experience. Opportunities for exposure to senior leaders, training, and career growth are provided.

Job Responsibility:

Supports the management and control data flows to and within Finance applications
Prepares and records financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes
Updates the general ledger
Records financial transactions
Prepares consolidated financial statements
Responsible for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools
Preparation of accounts for assigned process in line with global guidelines
Adheres to key controls for accounting process within the process handled
Integrates established disciplinary knowledge within own specialty area
Performs specific tasks within specific business functions
Delivers routine accounting deliverables
Articulates own process along with its key controls
Communicates with Legal Entity Managers on the status of the reconciliations/accounting performed
Escalates problems or issues as appropriate
Utilizes understanding of accounting concepts and procedures
Assesses applicability of previous experiences and evaluates options
Provides impact on the business through quality of activities provided in own area

Requirements:

Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience
0-1 year basic level experience in accounting management
Open to Fresh graduates of Finance-related course
