Job Description:

The Finance Accounting Analyst 2 is a developing professional role that applies specialty area knowledge in monitoring, assessing, analyzing and/or evaluating processes and data. The role involves supporting the management and control of data flows to ensure integrity and completeness of financial data, preparing financial transactions for reporting purposes, and maintaining accounting processes in accordance with global guidelines.

Job Responsibility:

Supports management and control data flows to and within Finance applications to ensure integrity and completeness of data
Prepares and records financial transactions for legal vehicle and regulatory reporting purposes
Updates the general ledger and records financial transactions
Prepares consolidated financial statements for legal vehicle & regulatory purposes
Takes responsibility for accurate reporting of accounting reconciliations on Citi reporting tools
Preparation of accounts for process in line with global guidelines
Manages implementation of procedures and development report
Adheres to key controls for accounting process
Communicates with Legal Entity Managers on the status of reconciliations/accounting performed
Delivers routine accounting deliverables
Escalates problems or issues relating to transactions, processes, reports or procedures
Appropriately assesses risk when business decisions are made

Requirements:

2-4 years of experience in accounting management (combination of education/experience)
Good understanding of accounting processes and financial controls
Knowledge of management reporting
Understanding of policy and regulation
Risk management skills
Ability to assess and evaluate processes and data
Ability to identify policy gaps and formulate policies
Ability to research and interpret factual information
Understanding of how the team interacts with others in accomplishing objectives
