The Field Supervisor leads multiple civil and telecommunications installation crews to safely deliver high-quality network builds on time and within budget. This role plans day-to-day field activities, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, ensures compliance with design/specifications and industry standards, verifies as-builts/QA, and actively manages site risks, productivity, and stakeholder relationships (client reps, utility owners, local authorities, property owners).
Job Responsibility:
Provide leadership and direction to assist civil workers achieve project delivery KPI’s and meet customer expectations
Deliver Subject Matter Expertise in civil construction, providing detailed knowledge and support to field crews
Sign off civil permits of work to control known risks around underground assets
Possess a high level of organisation skills to achieve production targets. Be effective with time management and be able to prioritise critical issues
Demonstrable commercial acumen and understanding of commercial processes
Complete in field design variations
Deliver a monthly individual safety check and quality KPI
Requirements:
Previous working experience in Telstra / NBN pit and pipe networks
A track record of supervising civil construction
Certification in supervising ACM removal (preferable)
Cert 3 in Civil Construction (preferable)
Ability in resolving day-to-day operational issues and solve technical problems with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgement
