The Field Marketing Specialist will support the implementation of the business unit’s Fuel & Merchandise Marketing strategy, working with the National and Business Area levels to develop local marketing campaigns, ensure signage needs are met, manage digital assets, execute public relations initiatives, conduct local market research, manage internal and external digital communication content, plan social investment programs, and oversee crisis communication preparation. The role also includes providing support for store operations and collaborating with other departments to meet organizational goals.
Job Responsibility:
Oversees and supports strategic decisions from the National and Business Area level, and local
ensure the sales plan and signage is executed at site level
assist with scaling to common sign types
assist National and Business Area levels with planning and coordination of all printed and digital sign programming
ensures operation of digital assets in stores and on forecourts
local media relations
planning and implementing local public relations campaigns
localized social media marketing campaign needs
managing the business unit marketing/advertising budget
conducting, summarizing, and presenting local market research
management of internal communications content
providing content for external digital channels
social investment program management
crisis communication planning and preparation
participation in communications network/weekly reporting
media monitoring
maintain professional and technical knowledge through education, networking, and workshops
accomplish determined financial and key result area targets.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field preferred
two or more years of experience working in marketing, merchandising and communication and/or related field required
proven success record with media relations/PR campaigns
radical curiosity of retail and the constantly changing marketplace
well-developed verbal and written communication skills and excellent interpersonal skills
excellent project management skills and ability to collaborate with other departments
well organized and ability to handle multiple responsibilities under deadlines with high attention to detail
track record of managing third-party relationships and/or direct reports
customer focus
commercial mindset
creative thinker with proficient design and organizational skills
may require up to 50% travel
retail experience is preferred.
