We are thrilled to announce an exciting opportunity for a Factory Trainer to become a vital part of our onsite Training Team at our Protein site in Normanton. If you are passionate about Training and eager to contribute to a dynamic team, this role is perfect for you!

Job Responsibility:

  • Induction training for new starters and refresh current colleagues including food safety & health and safety
  • Mandatory training module requirements for site and legal requirements
  • Operational training module training
  • Evaluate colleague operational performance via internal audit sheets
  • Management training modules in relation to shop floor operations
  • Preparing and reviewing Standard Operational Procedures
  • Liaise with Management team members in relation to training requirements and/or issues
  • Support and mentor new colleagues
  • Ensure training matrix information is maintained and updated as and when required
  • Work with and develop the site shop floor training supports
  • Plan training schedules ( with the training manager) to cover all training requirements and dates

  • Write, maintain, update and continuously evolve our training material and standard operating procedures to constantly meet the needs of our business
  • Plan and deliver effective and engaging training to our site colleagues, focusing on regulatory and mandatory training. This includes providing the following training: Line Leader, Hygiene, Health & Safety, Compliance/BRC food safety and SOP Cleaning cards
  • Provide learners with all relevant information e.g. policies, SOPs and regulations to clarify what is expected from them and to ensure their safety
  • Keep up to date with all administration work and maintenance of the training database within the defined timescales, ensuring all training is logged correctly
  • Monitor and review the progress of each learner through feedback questionnaires, observations and discussions with their line managers
  • Work collaboratively with the Operations Senior Leadership team and Production Leaders team to ensure all training delivered is in line with the on-going operational plan and all training needs are fulfilled
  • Ensure key performance measures are delivered consistently
  • Maintain own expertise by keeping up to date with new processes, key developments, updates and changes to deliver an effective and efficient service to colleagues and stakeholders
  • Induct and train all new colleagues into the business ensuring follow up training is completed within the timeframe set
