Job Description:

In the role of Machine Operator, the post holder will work within designated production areas and will be fully responsible for the operation, monitoring, and effective running of assigned production lines and associated machinery. The role involves a significant level of manual labour and requires strict adherence to company procedures, quality standards, and health and safety regulations.

Job Responsibility:

  • Operating, overseeing, and maintaining the continuous and efficient running of production lines and machinery
  • Ensuring materials and food products are supplied to the production process in a timely manner
  • Undertaking manual handling duties
  • Accurately completing all production, quality, and safety documentation
  • Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and compliance with health, safety, and food safety legislation
  • Working closely with production, warehouse, and quality teams
  • Carrying out any additional duties reasonably assigned by the line manager

Requirements:

  • Good level of education verbal, written and numerical
  • Experience of the food manufacturing industry is essential, preferably salads
  • Flexible in their approach to shifts
