Job Description:

We are seeking a hands-on and experienced Facilities/Maintenance Manager to lead our property maintenance operations and ensure our hotel remains safe, efficient, and beautifully maintained. This is a key leadership role for someone with strong technical skills, a proactive approach, and a passion for delivering high standards in a hotel or hospitality environment. As part of The iNUA Hotel Collection, you’ll join a supportive team with access to development opportunities across our award-winning hotels nationwide.

Job Responsibility:

  • Lead the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance department, managing a small team and external contractors
  • Ensure the hotel is maintained to brand standards in all guest rooms, public areas, spa, leisure centre, and back-of-house areas
  • Carry out regular inspections and preventative maintenance of facilities, systems, and equipment (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, fire safety, etc.)
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from guests and other departments, ensuring minimal disruption
  • Maintain records and logs of all maintenance activities and regulatory compliance
  • Manage budgets for repairs, maintenance supplies, and projects
  • Coordinate and supervise third-party contractors and ensure health and safety compliance
  • Support energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives within the hotel
  • Participate in hotel management meetings and contribute to continuous improvement planning

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar Maintenance or Engineering Manager role within a hotel environment is essential
  • Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical, and building systems
  • Proven ability to lead a team and coordinate with other departments
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Strong time management and the ability to work under pressure
  • Flexibility to be available for emergencies and participate in on-call duties
