Job Description:

Provides engineering support across the business with primary focus on automation engineering. This individual will have a direct impact on future investments made in automation and the success of those projects.

Job Responsibility:

  • Coordinates any Automation engineering related activity at all locations, in conjunction with operational leadership and applicable safety requirements
  • Supports capital assessment and implementation with both internal and external partners
  • Interacts with vendors to accomplish product selection, and engineering review and solution procurement
  • Collaborates with facilitates project management to ensure quality delivery
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste in all areas of the position

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and professional engineering certification. Degree can be in any of the disciplines – architecture, mechanical, civil, structural, or electrical
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks

Nice to have:

  • Robotics and automated material handling systems Conveyor, AS/RS (Automated Storage & Retrieval Systems), or other warehouse automation technologies
  • Controls experience
  • Experience with AB and Seimens
  • Integration of automation with IT/OT systems (networking, MES, data simulation tools such as Flexsim (e.g. for layouts or process modeling)
  • Data analysis tools (basic SQL, Python, or advanced Excel for system performance)
