As a Production Technician, you will perform a variety of production tasks in the laboratory and manufacturing environment to support OLED process development and our production. You will become proficient in operating small chemical tanks (chemical reactors) and kilo-lab equipment, with an emphasis on safety and accuracy. You will operate equipment, record data for chemical processes, change filters, adjust settings, and help with fine-tuning and troubleshooting.
Job Responsibility:
Operate while maintaining safety in all activities, wear proper PPE, and maintain a clutter free and clean environment
Independently operate production equipment, lab systems, and related equipment
Prepare, measure, and blend raw materials according to defined process instructions
Conduct reactions and product isolations following SOPs and quality specifications under the direction
Record process data, material usage, and observations in logbooks or electronic systems
Communicate equipment and process issues and participate in troubleshooting/root-cause investigations
Support continuous improvement for safety, efficiency, and product quality
Coordinate across shifts and work as a team with chemists and other technicians
Requirements:
HS diploma, GED, or equivalent
associate or bachelor's degree in chemistry, chemical technology, or a related field is desirable
2+ years of hands-on experience in a lab, or related manufacturing experience such as in food manufacturing, cosmetics, pharmaceuticals, alcohol/beer, or general chemical manufacturing environment
OR electro-mechanical technical skills/training such as those related to HVAC, gas-tech, vacuum distillation, water reclamation/filtration, or similar
Mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of laboratory instrumentation or related equipment
General understanding of chemical hygiene and hazardous material handling
Ability to lift up to 25lbs regularly and 50lbs with proper bending and lifting
