Job Description:

The Expansion Project Leader will be responsible for the realization of project objectives and contribute to the development and continuous improvement of the way of working in Retail Establishment. The role involves managing project budgets, ensuring timely delivery, and leading commercial planning activities. The position is a three-year fixed-term contract.

Job Responsibility:

Realization of the project objectives according to the specific project brief of one or several Retail Establishment Projects
Contribution to development and continuous improvement of the way of working in Retail Establishment
Accountability for the project budget
Delivery of a project within time, budget and quality
Making final decisions in a project
Taking a leading role in the commercial planning and build up activities for the pre-projects
Ensuring a proper handover of projects to the line organisation
Documentation of lessons learned through the project phases as well as a secure final report after the customer meeting point opening
Steering group reporting
Working across different functions and leading people in different projects
Coordination of the planning process with Group Expansion
Taking lead in working across functions within Ingka Group and collaboration with other IKEA units
Taking responsibility from start to end, achieving goals, prioritising and making decisions with speed and simplicity and keeping deadlines

Requirements:

Proven advanced experience in project management or equivalent
Experience from managing change in a complex business environment
Proven advanced training in PPS (Practical Project Steering) for project leaders
Proven and strong project management and cost management skills
Knowledge of how to improve existing ways of working
Retailing experience and standards
About governance process and elaboration of investment requests
Retail Establishment and connected processes
Local market strategies, priorities and expansion planning process
Knowledge of how to create and implement change initiatives and manage stakeholders
Multichannel shopping experience
