Job Description:

We’re working closely with a leading insurance company to help them identify an experienced Existing Business Underwriter to join their team. This is a remote position, allowing for flexible work hours. The successful candidate will be responsible for underwriting existing commercial accounts, ensuring adherence to company guidelines and providing superior customer service to brokers throughout Manchester.

Job Responsibility:

  • Evaluate and underwrite existing commercial risks within company guidelines
  • Review and analyse policy renewals and endorsements
  • Manage underwriting workflow and ensure timely processing of accounts
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve underwriting issues and provide excellent customer service
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of insurance regulations and underwriting guidelines
  • Assist in special projects and initiatives as needed
  • Nurture and maintain broker relationships
  • Visit when required

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in commercial underwriting, with a focus on existing business accounts
  • Proficiency in underwriting operations and commercial lines underwriting
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work independently and remotely, demonstrating strong time management and organisational skills
