Job Description:

Assists in the oversight of the daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and, if applicable, Laundry. Works with employees to ensure property guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained. Completes inspections and holds people accountable for corrective action. Position assists in ensuring guest and employee satisfaction while maintaining the operating budget.

Job Responsibility:

Assist in oversight of daily shift operations of Housekeeping, Recreation/Health Club and Laundry
Ensure property guestrooms, public space and employee areas are clean and well maintained
Complete inspections and hold people accountable for corrective action
Ensure guest room status is communicated to Front Desk
Work with Engineering department on guestroom maintenance needs
Supervise property general cleaning schedule
Inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
Order guestroom supplies, cleaning supplies and uniforms
Support inspection program for guestrooms and public space
Manage departmental controllable expenses
Respond to guest problems and complaints
Improve service performance
Empower employees to provide excellent customer service
Supervise staffing levels
Conduct employee training and performance appraisals
Participate in interviewing and hiring

Requirements:

High school diploma or GED
1 year experience in housekeeping or related professional area
OR 2-year degree from accredited university in Hotel and Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related major
