Job Description:

Seeking highly reliable and detail-oriented individuals for seasonal work during key exam periods in Greater Manchester. We are urgently recruiting professional Exam Invigilators and Exam Support Staff (Readers/Scribes) to uphold the integrity and smooth running of public and internal examinations across Secondary Schools and Academies.

Job Responsibility:

Vigilance & Supervision: Actively monitoring candidates during the examination period, maintaining a silent and focused atmosphere
Administration: Preparing exam rooms according to regulations, distributing and collecting papers, and checking candidate attendance
Instruction: Clearly reading out and clarifying standard examination instructions to students
Integrity: Reporting any irregularities or suspected malpractice immediately to the Examinations Officer
Support (for Readers/Scribes): Providing one-to-one assistance to students with access arrangements, reading questions, or accurately recording dictated answers (training provided)

Requirements:

Impeccable Reliability: Exceptional time-keeping and commitment to booked sessions is non-negotiable
Integrity & Professionalism: A commitment to the confidentiality and security of examination materials
Presence: The ability to remain vigilant, calm, and authoritative throughout long periods of supervision
Communication: Clear verbal communication skills for giving instructions
DBS: A clear and current Enhanced DBS (or immediate willingness to apply)
