The Event Security Specialist will work alongside some of the most creative teams at Wiz, gaining broad exposure across the organization while ensuring our events are secure, well-managed, and aligned with our values. This role will serve as the program owner for event security, ensuring the safety of employees, guests, and company assets while enabling seamless event experiences. The ideal candidate is operationally minded, highly organized, and comfortable in cross-collaborative environments with partners such as Events, Senior Leadership, IT, People, Facilities, and external vendors. This role blends strategic planning with tactical execution and will play a key role in scaling a global event security program as Wiz continues to grow.
Job Responsibility:
Own end-to-end event security programming, including risk assessments, security planning, execution, and post-event reviews
Conduct threat/vulnerability assessments for events, venues, travel routes, and surrounding environments, incorporating factors such as civil unrest, crime, geopolitical and reputational risks
Develop and maintain event-specific security plans, including access control, credentialing, executive protection coordination, emergency response, medical contingencies, and evacuation procedures
Serve as liaison on behalf of Physical Security while partnering with Events and Executive Programs teams, embedding early in planning cycles to ensure security is proactive, proportionate, and aligned with event goals
Coordinate and manage contract security vendors, including scope definition, staffing models, post orders, performance oversight, and budget tracking
Establish and maintain standard operating procedures, templates, and playbooks to scale event security globally and ensure consistency across regions
Monitor events in real-time both in-person and remotely, respond to incidents as needed, and produce after-action reports with clear findings and recommendations
Track and report on event security metrics, trends, and program maturity to inform leadership decisions
Requirements:
5+ years of experience in event security, corporate security, protective services, or a related security role
Demonstrated experience planning and executing security for medium to large-scale events, including conferences, executive offsites, and public-facing gatherings in a range of geographic locations
Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies, crowd dynamics, access control, and incident response
Experience managing and evaluating contract security providers
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to brief stakeholders at varying levels of seniority
Proven ability to operate independently and in team environments, with the ability to manage multiple events concurrently, and remain calm under pressure
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required
Familiarity with global travel risk, geopolitical risk, or intelligence-driven security planning
