Job Description:

Perform walking, planning, cost estimation, and scheduling for all service order projects. This includes writing proposals, designing projects, obtaining subcontractor bids, monitoring projects, and providing interim and final inspections of all service order projects

Job Responsibility:

  • Perform walking, planning, cost estimation, and scheduling for all service order projects
  • Prepares and estimates budget costs for construction by studying plans and specifications
  • Evaluates offers to purchase by site requirements, additions, and costing changes
  • Resolves cost differences by analyzing and collecting info
  • Writes up and presents budgets, reports, and project plans
  • Develops bids for construction projects
  • Works closely with architects and other professionals
  • Schedules meetings with clients, site managers, and staff
  • Navigates and understands building codes
  • Processes paperwork and travels to building sites as required
  • Monitors construction processes
  • Stays up to date with safety codes and improvements in construction

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma
  • 2 Years of Construction estimating and project management
  • Proven experience as an estimator or similar position
  • Familiarity with financials and project management principles
  • In depth knowledge of research and data analysis methods and estimation formulas
  • Exquisite math and IT ability with analytical mindset
  • Proficient in relevant software for estimating
  • Outstanding communication and negotiation abilities
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • Update program LRE (Latest Revised Estimate) planners, schedules, and provide Earned Value Management inputs, including variance analysis and corrective action planning
  • Develop and maintain a historical data set for cost and schedule projections providing inputs to program delivery Baselines
  • Work closely with Production Scheduling function to ensure hardware build schedules in shared production areas meet program needs
  • Develop a product roadmap that aligns with the Companies long range business plans and work with Engineering to identify, authorize and manage technical changes to deliverable unit designs to meet those plans
  • Represent control account(s) as a recognized technical authority and performance manager
  • Track and update key subsystem TPMs (Technical Performance Metrics)
  • Identify issues and risks early, proactively resolve issues that impede program progress, obtain assistance when needed to allow design staff to concentrate on their work products
