As a Lecturer of ESOL at EKC Ashford College, you will play a key role in supporting learners to develop the English language skills, confidence and independence they need to succeed in education, employment and everyday life. You will deliver high-quality teaching, training and assessment across a range of learning environments, working with learners from diverse backgrounds and at different stages of their learning journey.
Job Responsibility:
Teach, train and assess ESOL learners, ensuring engaging and inclusive learning experiences
Support learners to achieve their maximum potential through tailored guidance and support
Design, deliver and evaluate ESOL study programmes and courses
Lead on designated programmes or courses where appropriate
Monitor learner progress and contribute to positive outcomes and achievement
Requirements:
A passion for ESOL and inclusive education
Experience of teaching and assessing ESOL learners
The ability to plan engaging lessons that meet a wide range of learner needs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
A learner-centred approach with a focus on progress and achievement
Highly organised, creative and passionate about teaching
Ability to plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons
Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with learners
Enjoy assessing and tracking learner progress
Motivated by seeing learners achieve their goals
Ability to manage classes effectively and confidently
Comfortable teaching across a range of designated study programmes and courses from Pre-Entry up to Level 2
Nice to have:
Experience teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages
