Job Description:

We are seeking a local and experienced Epic Clinical Trainer to support the implementation and go-live of an Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system for a local Des Moines company that supports Iowa's community health centers. This individual will play a key role in developing training materials, delivering end-user training, and providing hands-on support during and after the go live.

Job Responsibility:

  • Develop and customize training modules in collaboration with the Epic vendor and internal IT & EHR teams
  • Deliver engaging virtual and in-person training sessions for EpicCare Ambulatory, Intake, Assessment, and Referral workflows
  • Facilitate end-user proficiency assessments and track user readiness
  • Provide 'at-the-elbow' support during go-live to ensure a smooth transition
  • Update and align training materials based on system build changes and end-user feedback
  • Conduct surveys to collect feedback and continuously improve training delivery
  • Participate in pre-go-live activities, including system testing and dress rehearsals
  • Support approximately 20-75 end users throughout contract.

Requirements:

  • Epic Credentialed Trainer (CT) certification required
  • 3+ years of relevant Epic training experience
  • Strong background in healthcare environments
  • Experience developing and delivering clinical and technical training
  • Expertise with EpicCare Ambulatory, Intake, Assessment, and Referrals modules
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have:

  • Clinical background or direct patient care experience
  • Experience supporting Epic implementations with a third-party Epic vendor.
