Job Description:

As an Electrophysiology Tech, or EP Tech, you'll assist the cardiac care team with electrophysiology studies, EP catheter placements, and interpreting electrocardiograms. You must have a strong knowledge of sterile techniques, cardiac pathology, and heart patterns.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist the cardiac care team with electrophysiology studies, EP catheter placements, and interpreting electrocardiograms
  • Must have a strong knowledge of sterile techniques, cardiac pathology, and heart patterns
  • Travelers work for a limited amount of time at a particular location, providing patient care and support before moving on to their next exciting adventure
  • Travel healthcare professionals are experienced caregivers who adapt quickly to change and enjoy learning new things

Requirements:

  • 1-2 years recent experience in the job's primary area of care
  • Active license or appropriate accreditation in one of the 50 US states
  • Additional requirements & certifications as may be requested by the specific facility/unit
  • An enthusiastic, adventurous spirit with a desire to help

  • Use imaging equipment to help the doctor detect and treat any heart and blood vessel issues in the patient
  • Execute any noninvasive course of action
  • Review the patient’s history and verify the medical order
  • Evaluate images by checking the quality of the image and the making sure that the area in question is included in the image
  • Be familiar with the differences from a normal image and an abnormal image
  • Communicate with the doctor the result of the image
  • Assist physicians in the performance of various diagnostic and therapeutic procedures in the Electrophysiology Labs
  • Assure compliance with federal, state, and local technical and professional regulations and accepted practiced guidelines
  • Delivers quality, cost effective patient care in a professional manner
