Job Description:

Support the EHS Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the site's programs related to EHS Regulations and Corporate Policies, specifically related to Safety Programs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Support the EHS Manager in the implementation, maintenance, and compliance of the site's programs related to EHS Regulations and Corporate Policies, specifically related to Safety Programs
  • Implement and maintain recordkeeping of Safety related programs as per applicable Regulations (Federal, State, and Local) and Corporate Policies
  • Maintain the compliance status of Safety related programs such as: Process Safety Management (PSM), Lock-Out/Tag-Out (LOTO), Work Permit, Confine Space, Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), Fall Prevention, Contractor Safety Management, Electrical Safety, among others
  • Manages the implementation/maintenance of the site EHS incident investigation, comitments/actions, and hazard identification programs
  • Maintains the site internal reporting system and perform trending reports
  • Conducts periodic EHS inspections/assessments throughout the site to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and policies
  • Actively participate in EHS-related audits, inspections, and routine surveys
  • Supports the EHS team in the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of site's EHS programs
  • Support in the completion of Job Hazard Analysis (JSAs)
  • Provide support (respond) to emergency situations during regular/non-regular business hours for the purpose of mitigate and resolve immediate EHS situations/concerns
  • Support site's data entry into EHS Insite system

Requirements:

  • Comprehensive knowledge of cGMP, FDA & EHSS regulations
  • Strong OSHA & EHHS knowledge
  • Willing to travel outside of Puerto Rico
  • Computer literate (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Knowledgeable on chemical processes and equipment (Chemical Plants)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Project management knowledge/skills
  • Technical writing & reporting skills
  • Must posses good record keeping skills
  • Able to interpret and convert units of measure such as temperature, pressure, flow, area, mass, distance, volume or other
  • Mathematical Reasoning: Add, subtract, multiply, divide and calculate percentages as well as able to use a calculator or other associated electronic equipment
  • Ability to follow writen procedures and/ or verbal instructions communications by telefone, fax or shortwave radios
  • Ability to understand technical drawings
  • Lead Auditor certification
