Job Description:

Oversee the preparation of Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and Environmental and Social Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA) and Environmental Management Plans (EMPs) with consultants and the Project Team. Develop, coordinate, and implement the project’s Regulatory Compliance Plan and Environmental Management Plan. Assist the Environmental Manager in supporting project-related Environmental & Regulatory (E&R) activities. Obtain necessary project permits, licenses, and approvals in a timely manner while tracking compliance status. Interface with project design and execution teams to integrate environmental requirements into project designs. Provide input for environmental-related Coordination Procedures for Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) documents. Contribute to cost and schedule estimates related to regulatory approvals and environmental management plans. Recommend and oversee implementation of environmental impact avoidance and mitigation measures. Collaborate with EPC contractors to develop acceptable Environmental & Regulatory plans. Review contractors' E&R plans for comprehensiveness and compliance with project standards. Guide project teams and contractors on regulatory compliance and E&R performance. Develop and implement effective monitoring procedures for EMP implementation and E&R performance. Coordinate monitoring activities with Site Construction Managers and Supervisors. Assist with special tasks, studies, and reports related to environmental regulatory compliance.

Requirements:

  • EHS Expertise: Strong knowledge of Environmental Health and Safety regulations
  • Environmental Compliance: Experience in conducting environmental compliance inspections
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with environmental regulations and standards
  • Project Management: Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and manage project timelines effectively
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for collaboration with diverse teams
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical abilities to assess environmental impacts and compliance
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in Environmental Management or EHS preferred
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience in environmental management or compliance roles
