Sales Specialists & Consultants are product, services, and solution specialists responsible for leading pursuits in assigned focus areas. This includes building pipelines, managing accounts, and closing deals while maintaining expertise in selling expansive systems or services.
Job Responsibility:
Seek out new opportunities and expand existing ones to build and manage the pipeline in specialty area
maintain knowledge of competitors to strategically position products and services
develop pursuit plans and align with account managers
establish a consultative relationship with clients
contribute to proposal development, negotiations, and deal closings
provide technical expertise and support during client engagements
focus on growing contractual renewals for mid-sized accounts
build sales readiness and facilitate knowledge transfer.
Requirements:
University or Bachelor's degree preferred
directly related previous work experience
demonstrated success in achieving progressively higher quota
extensive vertical industry knowledge required
typically 5-8 years advanced sales experience required
deep knowledge of products, solution or service offerings as well as competitor's offerings
understands the industry and market segment in which key accounts are situated
ability to translate product knowledge into customer's added business value.
