Job Responsibility:
Manage several strategic public sector accounts and acts as the account lead for a substantial part of a top-tier government client
Understand the customer’s mission, strategic and operational goals, regulatory environment, procurement processes (including public tenders), and compliance requirements
Add value by aligning HPE’s strategy with public sector priorities, including digital transformation, cybersecurity, cloud adoption, and sustainability
Drive business performance across all HPE Business Units and manages the portfolio mix to optimize long-term account value and profitability, while ensuring alignment with public procurement constraints and framework agreements
Accountable for building a healthy and compliant sales pipeline
responsible for deal orchestration, team coordination, and securing successful contract closure in a complex multi-stakeholder environment
Actively engages with the extended partner and integrator ecosystem to amplify HPE’s relevance and coverage across government agencies and institutions
Continuously develop understanding of public sector regulations (e.g., PZP – Public Procurement Law), funding programs (national and EU), and IT trends specific to the public domain
Position HPE’s end-to-end portfolio accordingly to address customer-specific needs in areas such as secure infrastructure, edge computing, AI readiness, and hybrid cloud
Orchestrate, motivate, and guide the extended account team, ensuring alignment with public sector ethics, documentation standards, and engagement models
Act as a strong customer advocate within HPE, representing the unique demands and expectations of the public sector
Plan strategically for assigned accounts, ensuring sustainable growth and value delivery throughout the fiscal year and beyond, while maintaining the highest standards of integrity, transparency, and compliance
Requirements:
University or Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience
Engineering or technology education, advanced degree or MBA desired
Typically 8-12+ years account management experience
Experience in IT industry
Experience working as an IT leader, within an IT department, and/or working within customers is a plus
Experience in vertical industry preferred
Strong track record of account management and sales performance
Experience in different sales roles is a plus
Experience in big data, hybrid IT, IT services, digital business, information security, AI and intelligent edge desired
