Job Description:

Seeking an Engineering Technician with Electrical or Mechanical background for a full-time position with benefits to support remanufacturing of Assembly & Test equipment for Diesel Fuel Injection Engines as well as production processes. The position requires 70% shop floor activity and 30% desk.

Job Responsibility:

Assist engineers with a focus on post-development activities like processes, application implementation or operation
Assisting engineers with process improvements, testing studies, capability studies, documentation, machine trials, First Time Pass Rate (FTPR) improvements etc
Identify & capture all machine issues (mechanical or software failures, faults, etc)
Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
placing and expediting orders
verifying receipt
Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures
Oversee the Flow of Maintenance Parts
Shadow, document & help solve machine technical problems
Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons
Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area
Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

Electrical or Mechanical skills, Some electronics knowledge
PLC, Windows based systems
PC literate Windows, Excel, Word , PPT etc
Ability to work on plant machines, diagnose, repair, maintenance, document etc
Eager and willing to learn and ability to adapt to new challenges
Good typing, word processing and communication skills
Knowledge of plant manufacturing operations
Ability to work well with others with minimum supervision
Effective problem solving ability and hands on
High School Diploma
1-3 years relevant experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
Experience with plant floor machines or machine shop - maintenance, repair, diagnosis etc

Nice to have:

SQL experience
CSharp experience
LabView experience desired
Associates degree or college education preferred
Automotive or industrial manufacturing desired
Experience with FIE - fuel injection equipment, assembly and test equipment, SRA - Safety Reliability Analysis desired
