Job Description:

Seeking an Engineering Technician with Electrical or Mechanical background for a full-time position with benefits to support remanufacturing of Assembly & Test equipment for Diesel Fuel Injection Engines as well as production processes. The position requires 70% shop floor activity and 30% desk.

Job Responsibility:

  • Assist engineers with a focus on post-development activities like processes, application implementation or operation
  • Assisting engineers with process improvements, testing studies, capability studies, documentation, machine trials, First Time Pass Rate (FTPR) improvements etc
  • Identify & capture all machine issues (mechanical or software failures, faults, etc)
  • Respond quickly in the event of an emergency, notify appropriate personnel and follow safety protocol
  • Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies
  • Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level
  • anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies
  • placing and expediting orders
  • verifying receipt
  • Ensures that all work performed meets required codes (OSHA, City and Federal) and is in accordance with plant policies and procedures
  • Oversee the Flow of Maintenance Parts
  • Shadow, document & help solve machine technical problems
  • Utilizes appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including, but not limited to, safety glasses, face shields, hearing protection, safety shoes, gloves and aprons
  • Responsible for proper care/cleaning of tools, parts, materials and work area
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Requirements:

  • Electrical or Mechanical skills, Some electronics knowledge
  • PLC, Windows based systems
  • PC literate Windows, Excel, Word , PPT etc
  • Ability to work on plant machines, diagnose, repair, maintenance, document etc
  • Eager and willing to learn and ability to adapt to new challenges
  • Good typing, word processing and communication skills
  • Knowledge of plant manufacturing operations
  • Ability to work well with others with minimum supervision
  • Effective problem solving ability and hands on
  • High School Diploma
  • 1-3 years relevant experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with plant floor machines or machine shop - maintenance, repair, diagnosis etc

Nice to have:

  • SQL experience
  • CSharp experience
  • LabView experience desired
  • Associates degree or college education preferred
  • Automotive or industrial manufacturing desired
  • Experience with FIE - fuel injection equipment, assembly and test equipment, SRA - Safety Reliability Analysis desired
