Reports directly to Engineering Manager / Maintenance Manager or reports to Production Supervisor. Performs routine set up, operation, minor and major routine maintenance, preventative maintenance (PM) and troubleshooting of highly complex/automated manufacturing equipment. Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime, and waste levels of machine operation. Perform mechanical, pneumatic and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery. Uses judgment and consultation to analyze, troubleshoot and repair complex equipment and machinery. Must project positive attitude with good team skills. Effectively works in a team setting, supporting team goals and objectives. Make effective decisions relative to position requirements. Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, troubleshoot and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks.
Job Responsibility:

Controls and adjusts machine settings
Responsibilities include production, quality, downtime, and waste levels of machine operation
Perform mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical maintenance (including preventive) repairs, adjustments, inspection and monitoring of production and/or facilities related equipment and machinery
Uses judgment to plan, perform, make decisions, fix and problem solve in performance of all maintenance tasks
Prioritizes daily work assignments to meet production needs and department goals
Responsible for preventive maintenance scheduling, completion of work orders and tasks as assigned
Supports installation and removal of equipment, and performance of required corrective maintenance
Consistent presence in production departments
Monitors the production lines and proactively evaluates equipment performance for repairs and continuous improvement
Must demonstrate mechanical ability to complete changeover of equipment and some operator level preventive maintenance
Assist with root-cause analysis activities for process or product exceptions
Checks work using prescribed gauges, jig and fixtures to measure close tolerances
Ensures accurate documentation of all relevant quality, safety, and maintenance documents
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED & Certificate and 2 years of experience in relevant field
High School Diploma or GED with 4 years relevant experience required
Troubleshooting of Industrial Control Systems (instrumentation, ladder logic, relay logic, VFD, servo etc.)
Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of PLC operations, robotics, and vision systems
Mechanical design (AutoCAD, Solidworks, etc.)
SAP maintenance module or equivalent computerized system
Basic skills in use of mill, lathe, welding, & bearing press
Time management skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Mechanical, pneumatic, and electrical skills
Ability to read electrical and pneumatic schematics
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, diagrams, and equipment specifications
Flexible and adaptable
Understanding and use of trades mathematics, calibration techniques, and precision measuring instruments
