Engineering Manager

• Promotes safety by example amongst the team members
• Monitors and ensures engineering designs meet company and customer quality control standards
• Plans, directs and controls design work to ensure projects are completed per committed completion dates
• Oversees Project Management of teams to ensure projects are completed in the most cost effective manner
• Develops and mentors team members
• Adhere to Nortrak's Environmental Procedures, Practices and Policies

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or another relevant discipline within the engineering field
• Eligibility for membership in Association of Professional Engineers in their applicable province/state
• Minimum 10 years experience in the engineering field
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment is an asset
• Knowledge of materials & casting processes related to the company’s manufactured products & experience
• Experience in duct pattern development, flow stimulation, casting preparation, and pattern alignment
• Proficient in the use of CAD software (NX and Microstation) and general drafting practices
• Proficient in the use of the PLM system and ERP system
• Exhibit strong and effective verbal and communication skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lead a team
• Able to prioritize and execute multiple tasks in efficient manner
• Meet deadlines and adhere to budget
• Must be able to understand highly technical topics
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines and must be detailed oriented
