Job Description:

The CTS Enterprise Analytics Services team is looking for a highly skilled and experienced Business Intelligence Tools Administrator Operations Lead to manage the daily operations, administration, and performance optimization of the enterprise Tableau, Cognos, and MicroStrategy environments. This role involves overseeing the infrastructure of these platforms, ensuring stability, managing user access, and supporting data visualization teams throughout the organization.

Job Responsibility:

Administer, support, govern and maintain multiple Tableau, Cognos and MicroStrategy environments
Lead installation, configuration, upgrades, and patching of Tableau Server/Tableau Cloud
Manage site architecture, server processes, and service optimization
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and failover readiness
Monitor Tableau Server health, extract refreshes, background tasks, and server usage
Implement and maintain role-based access control (RBAC)
Manage user onboarding/offboarding, licenses, and group memberships
Establish and enforce content lifecycle management
Support business users and developers on Tableau best practices
Conduct platform onboarding, training sessions, and documentation
Ensure alignment with data governance and compliance standards
Automate administrative tasks using Tableau Server Client SDK or REST API
Administer BI platform for pixel-perfect reporting
Integrate Tableau with DevOps tools or CI/CD pipelines
Manage Tableau license allocation and utilization reporting
Define Cognos systems architecture and execute platform patching
Provide Cognos technical assistance to application and business teams
Continuously improve platform through tuning, optimization, governance, automation
Provide MicroStrategy support for platform, report execution and user community
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams
Create complex project plans and perform impact analyses
Drive Root Cause Analysis post restoration of service
Develop projects for design of metrics, analytical tools, benchmarking

Requirements:

10+ years IT experience in Business Intelligence Tools (Tableau, Cognos and MicroStrategy) Development and Administration
5+ years of Linux, Shell scripting experience
Tableau Certified Associate or Server Certified Professional
Experience with Tableau Cloud migration
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
Analytical mindset with proactive approach to platform reliability and performance
Team player with willingness to share knowledge, cross-train, and learn new technologies
Flexible, hardworking, self-motivated with positive outlook
Ability to prioritize, organize, make decisions, and problem-solve under pressure
Self-starter with minimal supervision needs
Ability to work in diverse teams across different locations
Bachelor's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
